Conspiracy 365 January

conspiracy-365-january“They killed your father. They’ll kill you. You must survive the next 365 days.”

What is the new Conspiracy 365 series about? The series is written by Gabrielle Lord, a bestselling Australian author of adult crime novels. The Conspiracy 365 series is a thrilling suspense novel that runs for a year – with a book released each month to continue the story. The series is geared for ages 11–15.

The story is told in real time, and the books include codes and clues/pictures to help readers figure out the mystery about who wants Callum dead. The pages are also numbered backwards, beginning with 192 and working down to 0 – with each book ending with a cliffhanger. All the clues readers need to unravel the mystery are found in the books.

One customer said they liked the story – and also that Conspiracy “is not another vampire book.”

There is no swearing in the book, which was refreshing to see. Callum was a nice kid who loved his family, but was just falsely accused. Think The Fugitive.

New! The Usborne Illustrated Elementary Math Dictionary

illustrated-elementary-dictionary-of-mathI am so excited about the new math dictionary available from Usborne Books and More. We already have the original Illustrated Dictionary of Math in our home library, and my oldest tells me repeatedly – THIS IS MY FAVORITE MATH BOOK EVER! She reaches for it time and again for help with converting measurements, and also for popular formulas (example a=lw).

While the Illustrated Dictionary of Math covers topics in the older grades (my daughter is using Saxon 5/6 and is REALLY using the book this year), the new Usborne Illustrated Elementary Math Dictionary covers basic math concepts for younger students.

135 pages, and totally affordable at $12.99. Order here

I can’t wait for our copy to arrive!
